From February 28th to March 1st, we participated in the sixth United Nations Environment Assembly alongside our cooperation partner, Africa Collect Textiles. They had the opportunity to showcase their innovative concepts. The event gathered ministers from 193 countries who engaged in a series of discussions and collaborations aimed at driving global environmental agendas.
The focus of the fashion and textiles sector was encapsulated under the theme "Threads of Change." This included various panel talks featuring organizations and companies dedicated to sustainable, circular textile supply chains. These discussions also addressed the challenges associated with implementing these systems. A significant emphasis was placed on the rapidly growing second-hand market in Africa, exploring its potential impacts and benefits for sustainable development in the region.
